Approximately 15 kilometres west of the town of Corfu, between the villages of Pelekas and Vatos, and set beside the idyllic beach of "Myrtiotissa",stands the monastery of Virgin Mary of Myrtidiotissa. This Monastery sits on the verdant landscape and perched above the Ionian sea. This place of wild beauty features cyprus trees, hardy pines, and ancient olives.

The landscape in combination with the craggy boulders that hang from the cliff face above inspire a sense of awe and reverence cause the visitor a feeling of awe and reverence that soon gives way to a warmth and peacefulness that the natural power exuding from this unique setting invites.
