Products of the Monastery

As the monastery is not in possession of a great endowment and its daily income is minimal, all efforts for the repairs in the Monastery and the daily maintenance of the animals are supported by donations of tourists and believers as well as the sale of commodities produced by the Monastery.

Here are a few of the products that are offered by the Monastery today. By purchasing these products you are helping support Father Daniel's efforts and his work to restore the Monastery as a place of peace.

Natural Pharmaceutical and Aromatic Herbs
Inside the confines of the forest surrounding the Monastery the land is pristine for growing organic herbs in uncontaminated soil. In this soil the herbs are grown and collected for use as natural pharmaceutical treatements or as aromatics in potpourri and culinary uses.

Various souvenirs
Also in the Monastery you can find various handmade souvenirs such as small crucifixes, religious icons, and various other artifacts. You can also find two books published under the supervision of the Holy Monastery of Paleokastritsa, one titled   “CHRONICAL MEMORANDUM” , that recounts the history of the Myrtidiotissa Monastery, the second is titled “THE LIBRARY OF THE MONASTERY OF VIRGIN MARY OF MYRTIDIOTISSA OF CORFU”, which contains the books and documents cited on this site.
